Location of Point: This Point No. 34 of hand and foot are located below the tip of the middle and index fingers and 2nd and 3rd toes on their bulging portion. This point is pressed for the following disorders.

 

‘Nose’ commonly implies just the external structure, but anatomically it also includes the nasal cavity. The nose is the organ of smell and, as the opening of the respiratory tract, it serves to warm and filter air.

 

Functions of Nose:

•    The nose is the first entry and last exit point of the passage of air inspired and expired. The function of the nose is to begin the process by which the inspired air is warmed, moistened and filtered.

•    Nose is the organ of sense of smell. On roof of the nose there are sensory nerves ending that detect the odor of substances and carries it to the concerned area of the brain to be perceived as to the type of odor or smell. In common cold these nerve endings get inflamed and results in reduction or loss of smell for a temporary period of time.
